taking notes from a vintage CPO from which this shirt gets its namesake, the ellie is our take on a proper shirt jacket, updated with a more modern, flattering fit.

from concept to completion, this was one of those special cases where we allowed the fabric to dictate the evolution of this garment. sewn from a 100% cotton Japenese brushed back dobby plaid, we bleached the outer portion of this piece down, while leaving its original shade to remain on the interior — a truly novel fabric paired with traditional details and an understated silhouette.
